Life.

I'm officially done with a year of college. I'm throwing in the towel on community college, it just isn't for me right now. Life is calling me- though I'm not quite sure where it's taking me. I just know better than to attempt something that I know in my bones is not a match for me. God can stretch and grow me- and it might not be in the format of your typical college-aged American. It's time I come to terms with that. So now here I am just trying to find my place in this big old world.

I got a job.  A snow cone shop nestled right next to our city park. My boss must like my work as she made me manager after two weeks. I enjoy it, plus I enjoy the independence it gives me. I can now make some pretty mean summer treats, if do say so myself. ;)
I also got my guy back. Corey and I parted ways when I moved away, and he moved away. I think we each did a lot of growing up. The six months apart where good for us. Now we both live in small town, Alabama again, and things have fallen into place so easily for us. My family has had their concerns, but in the time we've been back together he has helped me immensely. Thankfully, they love him.  Where I am the planner and the worrier, he is calm and easy going. He grounds me and helps me slow down to enjoy this little life God has blessed me with. Plus he's kinda cute. That's in his favor.
Here was a a sweet lazy date night. :)
I planted a garden. I love tending each little plant. The first bounty I received from it was a few leaves of sweet mint yesterday, which I promptly muddled with some tea... Ahhh.  Yes, it's hard NOT to slow down and enjoy the moment when you've got a glass of that stuff in your hand.

Welcome life. Welcome.
